Delivery Information and Timescales
We work hard to bring you the best possible products and prices. Keeping the delivery costs as low as possible is part of that process.
- Most items are kept in stock and ready to ship from our warehouse in Devon, England. When you place an order before 2pm on working weekdays, we try to ship same day
- On the rare occasion that goods are not in stock, we will always contact you to advise you that an item is not in stock and to ask if you are happy to wait for delivery of the out-of-stock item or if you would prefer a refund
- Where items are sourced to meet an order, delivery will be longer and this is noted on the product page on the website
Why is shipping more expensive / not free?
A big challenge we face shipping adhesives, solvents, aerosols and paints is that these are classified as ‘Dangerous Goods’ (often known as ‘Haz Chem’) and cannot to be sent by post via Royal Mail. We use one of the few couriers that will transport them, economically, across mainland England, Wales and Scotland roughly below the Glasgow to Aberdeen line.
Shipping to the Highlands and Islands in Scotland, Northern Ireland, islands off England and Wales, Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and Ireland is unfortunately relatively costly as the carriers charge price premiums for these locations.
If you live in these locations, and regularly order goods to be delivered by means other than the post, you will already be familiar with the problem. We are uncomfortable about charging the higher rates to these locations, but have no choice. We know there are businesses out there that will ship these items by post; we simply will not break the regulations.

Signing for your Delivery
Many couriers require you to sign for safe receipt of your goods otherwise the courier will not leave the parcel at your delivery address. Please ensure that you will be present to sign for your delivery or state an alternative delivery address when you place your order e.g. your workplace. Most couriers now email you in advance of your delivery giving you the option to change delivery arrangements.
Public Holidays / Bank Holidays
We sometimes work over public holiday weekends but Royal Mail and our couriers don’t collect from us then, so please allow an extra day for delivery. Around Easter, Christmas and New Year, deliveries can also take a little longer than expected.
Poste Restante - useful when travelling around the UK
When you're travelling around the UK and don't have a permanent address, you can have post delivered to a convenient Post Office. Just make sure you set your delivery address to include the full post office name and address and enter "Poste Restante".

Overseas Deliveries
We cannot accept orders for deliveries export/overseas to all countries. Please contact us if you wish to order and we will confirm costs and the delivery charge dependant upon the items required, dimensions and weight of the parcel. If you are happy with the costs then we will send you an invoice that you can pay online with most cards.
